The best classroom? The great outdoors!

The best classroom? The great outdoors! Our July curriculum theme is hand crafted to make the most of the summer. We’re turning our centers into a summer camp for the books! We’ll soak up the sun while learning new Spanish words, investigating what’s outside (both plants and animals!), and more.

Outdoor Discovery and Adventure!

Our daily activities might look a little different this month- and will require a little more sunscreen! Toddlers, Preschool and Pre-K will be going on nature walks, scavenger hunts, gardening and learning about flores (flowers), and water play. These activities are sensory experiences (cool water, grasses that tickles our legs) and great opportunities for motor skill development! Even our own outdoor playground has copious amounts of exploring opportunities. Infants will get their fill of the outdoors as well! Our smallest community members will discover nature’s wonders firsthand, whether it’s feeling the breeze on their skin, observing vibrant colors in the flora and fauna, or listening to the soothing sounds of pajaros (birds)! Our outdoor walks in our strollers are our teacher’s favorite parts of the summer as well!

Let’s Go Camping!

Weather permitting, our preschool and pre-k classrooms will become official explorers! During our snack time picnics, they learn about healthy eating habits, practice social skills, and engage in sensory activities as they savor delicious treats in the great outdoors. Setting up a tent fosters teamwork, problem-solving, and spatial awareness, igniting their imagination as they create imaginary camping scenarios. Scavenger hunts provide an opportunity for discovery, observation, and critical thinking as they search for hidden treasures amidst nature’s beauty. With our camp-themed curriculum, we create an environment where preschool and pre-k learners can connect with nature, develop important life skills, and cultivate a sense of wonder and adventure that will stay with them for years to come.
