A New Beginning for Overland Park Families: Tierra Encantada is Now Open!
Since opening our doors, we’ve been so grateful for the warm welcome from the Overland Park community. Families looking for high-quality childcare now have a new option—one where children are cared for in a loving, nurturing environment while naturally learning a second language through immersion, play, and exploration.
Located at 14310 Metcalf Ave, Tierra Encantada Overland Park officially opened in January, bringing our unique Spanish immersion daycare and preschool program to families in the Kansas City metro area. Since then, we’ve been thrilled to see our classrooms come to life with the laughter, curiosity, and energy of our young learners.
Celebrating Our Grand Opening
On Saturday, February 1st, we celebrated this exciting milestone with a Grand Opening event that brought together enrolled families, local business owners, and community leaders—including Overland Park Mayor Curt Skoog. Families had the opportunity to tour our center, meet our dedicated teachers, and connect with other local parents while learning more about our program.
During the event, Mayor Skoog spoke about the critical need for new childcare options in Overland Park, sharing that “the city lost 40% of its childcare facilities during COVID”. He highlighted the importance of Tierra Encantada’s presence in filling this critical gap, ensuring families have access to nurturing, high-quality early education.
